November 20 Dec 9 JCP Annual Chanukah Party in MoscowThe JCP Annual Chanukah Party will be on Sunday, December 9, 2007 -- between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM -- at the St. Augustine Catholic Center, 628 S Deakin St., Moscow, Idaho -- next to the UI Bookstore parking lot and across the street from the University of Idaho Student Union Building. It will be a potluck. The JCP will provide beverages, paper products, utensils, and LATKES. Please bring a dish to share with six other people. That night will be the Sixth Night of Chanukah. You can bring your family Chanukah Menorah and candles. We will have Klezmer music -- performed by Gefilte Trout -- and we will have dancing led by Mitchell Frey and Roberta Radavich. We will need help setting up (including decorations) -- and help cleaning up. Dec 8 Chanukah Class at Pullman Parks and RecSaturday, December 8, 2007, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, there will be a class called "It's Hanukah Time" sponsored by Pullman Parks and Recreation. The instructor is Miriam Kent (long-time JCP member) -- who has asked the JCP to provide the following information: "Come learn about the Jewish Holiday called the Festival of Lights. We'll spin dreidels, bake & decorate special cookies, share songs, games & stories. Create a Hanukah memento. Jewish and non-Jewish children welcome. Families invited at 2:30 to watch a little 'show' and eat warm cookies." Register by Wednesday, Dec 5th. It will be at the Pioneer Center, 240 SE Dexter St., Pullman, WA 99163. Phone: 509-338-3227. It will cost $18 per child. It is open to children ages 2.5-7. Adult or older silbling required to stay with children under 4. Dec 7 Friday Night ServiceOur next Friday Night Service will be Dec 7th at the K House in Pullman. It will be the Fourth Night of Chanukah. It will be another opportunity for your family to enjoy Chanukah, Shabbat, singing, eating and socializing. Dec 4 First Night of ChanukahWe wish everyone an enjoyable First Night of Chanukah!! Nov 20 Moscow Interfaith Association Thanksgiving VigilTuesday night, November 20, 2007, from 5:30 PM to 6 PM, the Moscow Interfaith Association will hold its annual Thanksgiving Vigil at Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow (4th and Main Streets). Bring a candle to spill light into the dark and a grateful heart for the blessings in your lives. November 07 Nov 9 Holocaust Presentation & Exhibit at WSU's Holland LibraryOn November 9th, 2007 -- at 3 pm -- there will be an Opening Reception, with an Opening Address by Dr. Wes Leid, WSU Honors College, for the Holocaust Exhibit at Holland Library. The exhibit is "Neighbors Who Disappeared," coordinated by the Jewish Museum in Prague and prepared by Czech youth who researched information about people who had disappeared from Czech towns during the Holocaust.
