    JCP Dues for 2008-09

         JCP Dues run from September to September.  The suggested dues are:  for a family $30-$60; for an individual $20-$30; and no charge for students.  If you are not able to pay the suggested dues, than any amount will be appreciated.  Make your check payable to "Jewish Community of the Palouse" and please mail it to: Jewish Community of the Palouse c/o The K-House, 720 NE Thatuna St., Pullman, WA 99163. 
         Dues cover our overhead and other expenses.  We pay for our office and other uses at the K-House in Pullman, which is a considerable expense.  W
    e also rent space for High Holy Day Services, our Chanukah Party, and other events.  We purchase books and supplies for our Friday Night Services and other religious celebrations.  We underwrite other educational activities, social occasions, film events, speakers, and other events.  We rely upon volunteers to plan and conduct our activities, but we cannot continue without the monetary support of members.

    October 8 and 9 - DAY OF ATONEMENT SERVICES

    Wednesday Night, October 8, 2008 - 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM -- the JCP YOM KIPPUR EVE SERVICE (KOL NIDRE) will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Moscow, 420 East Second Street, at the NW corner of Second Street and Van Buren.  

    And on Thursday, October 9 -- between 10 AM and 1 PM -- Yom Kippur Morning Service at the K-House in PULLMAN.  This will be followed by the Yom Kippur Concluding Service -- also at the K-House in PULLMAN -- between 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  There will be a potluck "break-fast" that will begin after the final Shofar Blast -- approximately at 6:30 PM.  Please bring only a light snack to share.  The JCP will provide beverages. 

    September 29 & 30 - JEWISH NEW YEAR SERVICES

    Monday Night, Sept 29, 2008 - 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM --the JCP ROSH HASHANAH EVENING SERVICE will be at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Moscow, 420 East Second Street, at the NW corner of Second Street and Van Buren.   The JCP will have a potluck snack following the Rosh Hashanah Evening Service. Please bring "finger-food," like bread, cake, cookies and fruit.  Beverages will be provided. 

    And on Tuesday, Sept 30 -- between 9 AM and 1 PM -- the JCP will hold a Rosh Hashanah Morning Service at the K-house in PULLMAN.

    Sep 12, 13, & 14 -- Fiddler on the Roof

    On September 12 and 13, at 7:00 PM -- and on Sunday, September 14 at 2:00 PM -- the Regional Theater of the Palouse will present "Fiddler on the Roof" at Beasley Performing Arts Center in Pullman, Washington, on the campus of Washington State University.  For ticket information, you can go to the RTOP website:  http://www.rtoptheatre.org/

    Sept 7 - JCP Welcome Picnic at East City Park

    The JCP Welcome Picnic will be on September 7, 2008 at East City Park in Moscow, from noon to about 2:30 PM.  You can get to the park by driving on Third Street, West of downtown Moscow, past the High School, and going to Hayes Street.  Our picnic area will be on the hill overlooking the basketball court, near the corner of First Street and Hayes.  You can find it on the following yahoo map:  http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=46.73365&lon=-116.98867&zoom=16&q1=46.73365%2C-116.98867

    Sept 5 - Friday Night Service and Potluck
